The Civil Aviation Industry Growing Slowly Last Year

    CANNEWS - On May 20, the National Civil Aviation Authority released the “2012 Statistical Bulletin of National Civil Aviation Industry Development.”


As is shown by the Bulletin, the national civil aviation industry grew slowly in 2012, and the overall level of profitability declined. Last year, the industry saw the total revenue of 556.14 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5% over 2011; the total profit of 29.59 billion yuan, a drop of 7.56 billion yuan over the previous year. The aviation industry profits fell for two consecutive years, and the average flight normal rate was 74.83%, the lowest in five years, and equivalent to that one in every four civilian flights has delays.(Prince)
